Mommy Mondays: The random

Some thoughts:

1. Hallelujah Spring Break is over! I always really look forward to the kids' breaks. I also really look forward to school beginning again.

2. Who knew that a week off of our no-snack regimen would make for a hellish return to normalcy around here. Little #4 would like to eat Goldfish from 6 a.m. until bedtime.

3. It is 63 degrees right now! And tomorrow is supposed to be in the 70s. You don't know how amazing this feels. While the rest of the country has been enjoying wonderful weather, we have been in the 30s and 40s with cold wind this entire spring. (And we're supposed to go back to that after tomorrow, but I will enjoy these two days with fervor.)

4. Birthday is coming up and I really HATE getting old. I would pick 24ish to stay at if I got to choose. Although, there is something nice about knowing your body is done being pregnant. (And no, Heavenly Father, just because I said that out loud, please don't strike me with an surprise pregnancy.)

5. Got totally addicted to a very cheesy high school show called "Switched at Birth" on Netflix. Have you seen it?

6. Easter was nice. I like it so much better than Halloween...

7. This has been going around in my mind so much lately: Where would I live if I got to choose? I seriously can't figure it out. Wyoming doesn't feel like home any more. Washington feels like home because of the people who are here, but I really don't like this city. Hubby wants somewhere that is warm and has lots of lakes. Hmmm. Do you know where you'd live if you could really go anywhere?

8. Husband is taking math, physics and chemistry this quarter. It's a good thing he is smart because I may be an asset on English papers, but math, not-so-much. I have trouble helping my third grader with her math. And when I don't know the answer I just say "Honey, you HAVE to figure it out on your own."

So what's happening for you lately?

Hey Maggie! I am so sorry that it so cold up there. It has been so nice and hot here in the crummy desert (don't move here...it's like living in Iraq). But I am glad you had a nice Easter! And no, I don't have 6 kids--I made it sound that way, didn't I? Nope, just 4...but I was my sister's kids too. All six butts full of sand! :)

I don't think I have lived enough places to know for sure where I would live if I could pick anywhere. I'm pretty simple. No snow and lots of sun. So technically, where I am at is perfect! My husband would disagree though :) To each his own, I suppose, eh?

If you're completely adverse to cold of any kind you'll be heading toward AZ, lol. But a great place is Reno for warmer weather and more lakes and stuff?

But if you like Washington and can find a job the smaller towns are awesome too. I grew up in Spokane and I love it, but I can't go back since I've lived too many other places.

I have an awesome meeting coming up with my favorite CP and I'm SOOOO excited I could scream. Lots to talk about. Glad to hear I'm not the only one with the goldfish issue. Uck.

I'm with you on Easter. It's so much more fun than Halloween. :)

As for math, ditto. At least my kids have their father. I swear the man sees everything in numbers. It's kinda freaky.

As for me, I'm gearing up for LDS Storymakers and trying not to have my baby before then. This is my last, and I'm SO done. I'm not a glowy pregnant lady. Nope. Not at all.

I totally love Switched at Birth!! I pick up so much Signing from watching that show. They recently added 12 new episodes, but I haven't caught up yet.

I'm starting on my sequel to The Gifted. Pretty excited about that.

I'm going to give away Growing Up Gracie in the LDS Author giveaway hop next month...or is it the month after? I don't know. Anyway, I'll let you know when it comes up.

I've only lived in Virginia, Utah, and Portugal. Utah is cold. Virginia is only a little warmer. Portugal doesn't have a lot of lakes. If it was my choice, I'd trade the lakes for the beach and live in CA.

I haven't watch that show, but I'm a big fan of Ringer with Sarah Michelle Gellar.

If I could have two homes I'd pick one of them in Rhode Island. Beautiful place but I wouldn't want to do winter there. I'm not a fan of winter.

Have a great weekend! :)
